We specialize in thoughtfully planned weddings, beautifully styled celebrations, private gatherings and corporate events, offering everything from full-service planning and day-of coordination to event design, décor rentals and statement installations. Our Campbell River studio provides an intimate setting for creative workshops, private parties and seasonal gatherings, while our planning and design services extend across Vancouver Island, bringing our signature approach to celebrations wherever they unfold.
Alongside our planning collections, we offer a curated collection of décor and event rentals, live watercolour portraits and thoughtfully developed planning resources, including Between the Details, our guide created for couples who appreciate the perspective of a professional planner while navigating their own wedding journey.

We intentionally take on a limited number of celebrations each season, allowing us to provide a thoughtful, attentive experience for every client.
Island Impressions is led by Hannah, Founder and Lead Planner, alongside a small, trusted team of planners, coordinators and stylists. Together, we bring creativity, experience and a calm, considered approach to every celebration, tailoring our support to the unique needs of each event.

Hannah
Founder & Lead PlannerOriginally from England, Hannah DeVries made Campbell River home in 2015, bringing with her a love for creativity, meaningful connections and beautiful celebrations. Married for over a decade and a mother of two, Hannah understands the importance of family, togetherness and creating memories that become part of our stories. With a background in fine arts, design, event planning and marketing, Hannah founded Island Impressions in 2025 with a vision to create celebrations that feel as personal as they are beautiful. Her approach blends thoughtful design with an eye for detail, a calm presence and a genuine love of bringing people together. Beyond weddings and events, Hannah is passionate about supporting women entrepreneurs and building meaningful connections within her community. Through collaborations with talented creatives and small businesses across Vancouver Island, she believes in celebrating one another's successes and creating opportunities to grow together. When she's not planning celebrations, you'll likely find Hannah spending time with her family, dreaming up her next creative project or surrounded by her beloved animals. A particular lover of French bulldogs, her household includes two dogs, a cat and a flock of chickens! Today, Hannah leads a close-knit team of trusted coordinators and creatives who share her passion for thoughtful celebrations. At the heart of everything she does is a simple belief: the most beautiful celebrations aren't just about how they look, but how they make people feel.
